Apply for this positionG. Visser & Sons is a potato farm and packing operation located in Orwell Cove on beautiful Prince Edward Island. For over 40 years, we have been growing potatoes of all colors, shapes, and sizes in rich red PEI soil.
We have built a solid reputation of consistently growing quality potatoes, or spuds as we often call them, for both the fresh table market and for seed. Our packing operation washes, grades, and packs potatoes to be enjoyed throughout Canada, the United States, and Puerto Rico.
On our farm, sustainability and stewardship are not just buzzwords but are values that shape our operation and culture. In addition to potatoes, we grow a wide variety of rotation crops including corn, grain, and soil builders.
We are still family owned and family run. Gerrit Visser came over from Holland and settled on Prince Edward Island in 1954, and passed his love of growing along to the generations that followed. We care for our people, our community and the land we farm, and we bring PEI spuds to dinner plates across the country.
